It’s very rare to come across a single game that can redefine how you look at a particular genre. Especially considering that I’m talking about a genre that’s already filled to the brim with quality titles. I’m of course talking about the sandbox genre. When you talk about the sandbox genre, the Grand Theft Auto series is going to be brought up almost instantly, but as a game - the GTA series never managed to hold my interest for too long. I was never able to play through to the end of any of them. A sin, I know, but now if I’m ever involved in a conversation about the sandbox genre. I will instead proudly talk about my time with inFAMOUS and about how it made me excited about the genre again.
From the moment you first hit the start button - inFAMOUS goes for the throat. Your surroundings immediately turning into flame ridden rubble, chaos and devastation. …read more

My “Oh Ohh” meter started to go off when I found out that the game was going to be an “arena based shooter”. Really?, with The Punisher? Ok, I’ll give it a shot! …read more

For those not familiar with it, MMA stands for Mixed Martial Arts, a sport which has exploded onto the scene in recent years. With a more brutal style and with a rule system that’s been refined over time, the UFC has surpassed boxing, in my opinion, as the premier form of entertainment. Throwing together some ego and scantily clad ring girls, it has claimed its place in popular culture, combining the spectacle of professional wrestling with a roster filled with highly …read more

Uncharted, remains one of the few games that allows me to justify how I still manage to call my Playstation 3 a gaming console - rather than a media centre, which is why I am absolutely watering at the mouth for some more Uncharted action.
Recent screenshots for the upcoming sequel Uncharted 2: Among Thieves have been released by Eurogamer, and boy, do they look good! …read more

Seeing as Saints Row 2 came out about 6 months ago, we were about due for some DLC. I always find myself getting excited at the prospect of new content, but lately I’ve been a little dissapointed with the quality of the DLC on some other titles.
