iGaming #6 - Pools of Blood.

By Trevor August 10, 2009

Ladies and Gentlemen.

This weeks iGaming feature is brought to you by Dylan Burns. Dylan runs the amazing Pixel Hunt, a free electronic video games magazine. If you haven’t already, check it out here.

Having just discovered the pleasures of iGaming, I’m of two minds regarding the games that have so far been available for the iPhone and iPod Touch. On the one hand, the plethora of games that utilise the iPhone’s touch screen and tilt/shake-sensitive abilities offer a welcome distraction during the monotonous workday. Pixel Hunt: The Games of 2010.

By Trevor July 28, 2009

One of the main things that I have noticed in the year that Medianator has been running. Is that the Australian games community fucking rules. Now, I believe I have always been exposed to this fact, but with people like Dylan and Co over at Pixel Hunt it’s hard not to be blown away by their dedication and passion for the art of the video game and the industry itself.

As we mentioned previously, Pixel Hunt is a free monthly gaming magazine, that is available in PDF format and packed with fantastic content and honest reviews. I was a little unsure about what to expect when I loaded up the game for the first time. Would it be just an iPhone version of the classic Doom game? ID did this for Wolfenstein 3D, in the end it worked quite well but as it turns out Doom Resurrection is a completely new adventure, set in the Doom universe and exclusive to the iPhone/iPod Touch. …read more

Then, Apple released the iPhone.

The first iPhone (due to the lack of the App store) wasn’t fully exposed as the gaming platform that it current one is today. Though, games like Tap Tap Tap hinted at what the future would hold for the iPhone. …read more
