[Preview] Mass Effect: Redemption #1

By Trevor October 15, 2009

Mass Effect 2, the sequel to the incredibly popular SCI-FI RPG, Mass Effect, will soon be upon us. As quite a few games have done lately, Bioware will team up with Dark Horse Comics and will be releasing a comic to tell part of the story that is essential to the understanding of the events leading into the sequel.

It’s probably the worst kept bit of information on the internet now, but in the beginning of Mass Effect 2, Commander Shepard, the protagonist from the first game, is missing and the events that occur during this time are told in this comic book series.

Comic Book Resources have several preview pages for the first issue of the series and they look very nice indeed.

You can check them out here.

The wait for Pandemic & EA’s latest release The Saboteur is almost over (once again - as the original release date was previously postponed).

Below are two clips, one a new game trailer with a spiel from game creator Tom French & the second featuring in-game footage as our protagonist Sean Devlin (yes, despite what the accent may indicate, he is meant to be Irish & yes, the game forums are filled with angry Irish people right now - hilarious!) Take a look & possibly consider putting your computer on silent when Sean’s monologue begins, regardless you won’t here much anyway because you’ll be laughing too loudly anyway.

The Saboteur, available in the US 12th December & UK 4th December.  …read more

Recently I posted about the upcoming EA/Pandemic release The Saboteur which looks set to take a revolutionary step in gaming artwork melding a noire sense of black & white imagery with bursts of colour to symbolise liberation from the nazi regime. The fantasitc artwork for this game has inspired this weeks Wednesday Weekly Wallpaper - a little tid bit to get you salivating for the game itself, but sadly you’d better buy a drooling cup now because its going to be another 6 or so months before you get your hands on the Saboteur.

[Preview] Saboteur

By Ronny June 16, 2009

There are a lot of WW2 games out there (COD, Battlefield 1942, MoH etc), some that will have you playing through several times & clocking up the download limits with online gaming & others that weren’t even worth the packaging they came in. Enter into this cut-throat genre, Pandemic & EA’s upcoming release Saboteur, what they are championing as the first open world WW2 game available which makes the game interesting enough, but the lads have an even greater gimmick up their sleeve - the “Will to Fight” (yes, I held out on turning that into a cheesy catch phrase…but just barely). …read more

A recently posted image over at EA’s Dead Space blog with the cryptic message apparently reading “The end will be set in motion” is perhaps hinting at something new in the Dead Space universe.

Is it new content for the original game? Or is it something to do with the Wii version?
